Spain The Healthiest Country in the World

In which countries is the healthiest life and where do people live the most?
Bloomberg conducted a classification based on data from the World Health Organization, the United Nations and the World Bank.

According to Bloomberg's Healthiest Country Index , Spain is the healthiest country in the world. Thus, it offends Italy from the throne that led the list last year. Italy has not gone far because it is in second place this year. Spain took a big leap: once from the sixth to the first place.

The Bloomberg Index ranks 169 countries in health order. We look at a lot of factors that determine overall health. Think about things like life expectancy, the availability of clean water and clean air, access and quality of medical care, the degree of hygiene ... Countries receive sanctions for unhealthy habits such as smoking, using drugs and obesity.

According to the researchers, Spain and Italy have such a high score in relation to the Mediterranean diet in which many olive oils, nuts and vegetables are processed.

It is also surprising that Cuba has a higher score than the United States. Life expectancy in the United States has decreased due to the large number of deaths from drugs, overdoses and suicides. Cuba is the highest country on the list (thirty place) that, according to the World Bank, is not included in the "high income" countries. This probably depends on the emphasis that Cuba puts on preventive medical care.

Belgium is at number 28 this year, two places lower than last year.
